NATURE'S WATER GUN
Sea squirts are marine animals that form blobs on the sides of rocks, ships, and other surfaces where they hang out and filter their food from the water. Their bodies are really simple. One hole in the blob allows water (with food and oxygen) to enter the animal. The food gets filtered and sent to the digestive tract. The filtered water gets squirted out a secondary hole. I like to consider them as nature’s squirt guns. If you are mischievous (like myself) you can pry one off its surface, squeeze it, hold it under water, release the squeeze – filling the animal up with water. Then point it at your victim and squirt! (insert evil cartoon laugh).
