THE HOLLOWEEN SERIES - BATS

Love is in the air for bats many bats in the Ozarks.  Fall is when most bats mate.  Bats copulate upside-down.  This is possible because male bats have a “periscoping” penis with a baculum (bone in the penis).  Females will store sperm to time delivery of the baby (only one at a time) in the spring when insects (their food) is abundant.  Sorry folks, no vampire bats in the Ozarks!
