WHY DID THE SKUNK CROSS THE ROAD?

WHY DID THE SKUNK CROSS THE ROAD?

You might notice an increase in dead skunks on the road.  It is a rather unfortunate sign/smell of spring.  This is the time of year that striped skunks begin to mate.  During the breeding season, skunks will travel quite a distance to meet that “perfect” someone and this usually requires crossing a road.  Skunks are nocturnal, largely black, crossing roads where cars occur… you get the drift.  So, the reason skunks cross the road is to get to a possible mate on the other side.  If they survive cars.
