HOW LONG IS YOUR DIGESTIVE TRACT?

HOW LONG IS YOUR DIGESTIVE TRACT?

Curiously enough, the length of the digestive tract correlates with what an animal generally eats.  Herbivores have a hard time breaking down plants.  A long digestive tract helps give more time, space, and chemicals for that process.  A carnivore (insectivores and other meat eaters) generally have a short digestive tract.  FYI, just because you become a vegetarian doesn’t mean your digestive tract will automatically get longer to accommodate your needs.  You gotta work what your mamma (and daddy) gave ya!
